Positions Available:

Environmental Manager - Overseas

1. Will be responsible for a variety of environmental, engineering and hazardous waste management activities. Including monitoring and managing environmental actions to ensure that military forces comply with appropriate Federal and Host Nation (HN) laws, and Department of the Defense (DoD), Higher Headquarters, and Department of the Army (DA) regulations and policies that govern environmental actions overseas.

2. Provide management and oversight to the Commander in respect to environmental regulations such as the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Clean Water Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Endangered Species Act and other natural resource laws have to be complied with, as required, when military forces are deployed or stationed overseas. These regulations have placed an increasing emphasis on the management and monitoring of sound environmental practices, reduction of environmental contaminants, and restoration of contaminated sites.

3. Provide managerial, engineering and technical support necessary to establish and maintain an environmental center of professionals capable of providing environmental programs management, technical assistance and engineering support.

4. Coordinate Environmental Program activities; identify and research environmental problem areas; and recommend new policies and procedures to enhance and expedite environmental actions associated with the environmental program.

5. Skills: Degree in an Environmental related field or engineering
Computer literate with significant background in:
Microsoft software, Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Word

Staff Level assignment at Brigade or above

Capable of presenting a Military Briefing

6. Must be willing to live overseas.
